James Christopher Hill was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1966. After working as a professional artist in the early 1980's, James finally received formal training at the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. In 1998, he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation; a field that focused mainly on the understanding and discipline of master drawing and painting skills. His senior thesis entitled "Jataka" took home the Gold Oscar in the category of Best Student Computer Animation in 1998 from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. After he graduated he then returned to his love of painting utilizing his new skills and knowledge to create his ongoing style of...

This latest Digital Painting was created to capture a more daunting cemetery long since forgotten and abandoned in the middle of the woods where there once was a church near this area, but it burned down long ago and was never rebuilt. Still, a small pathway exists that use to create the layout of the graveyard.
