Here is a painting that I recently created of an abandoned cemetery in England from 1500-1700 AD. This is created in Adobe Photoshop and using a sketch tablet called a Wacom Cintiq with a pen and various brushes. It's a lot similar to drawing or painting, but with pixels and light instead of dangerous oil paints and mediums.
James Christopher Hill was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1966. After working as a professional artist in the early 1980's, James finally received formal training at the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. In 1998, he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation; a field that focused mainly on the understanding and discipline of master drawing and painting skills. His senior thesis entitled "Jataka" took home the Gold Oscar in the category of Best Student Computer Animation in 1998 from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
